Miami Has Now Been Hired: Employees Only

Miami Beach’s newest addition comes straight from NYC’s West Village—and while it’s foreign to Miami, it’s unbelievably exciting for the future of Miami Beach.

Now open on Washington Avenue, NYC-born speakeasy Employees Only is giving New Yorkers yet another reason to come to Miami. Known for its creative cocktails, moody décor, eclectic food menu (the chicken noodle soup is a fan favorite!), and of course, a fortuneteller, this NYC-born speakeasy now has its second location inside Miami Beach’s newest boutique property: the Washington Park Hotel.

Don’t know where to start? Take a tip from NYC locals and kick-off your experience with a cunning cocktail. The fiery Lazy Lover is a popular choice—it mixes jalapeno-infused green chartreuse, Leblon cachaça, agave, fresh lime and Benedictine. Whatever you sip, pair it with some tasty selections from the food menu. Starters like Ricotta Gnocchi, Bacon Wrapped Lamb Chops, Hand-Cut Steak Tartar and Bone Marrow Poppers are the kitchen’s most-requested appetizers, while mains like Whole Rainbow Trout, Porterhouse Pork Chop or really, pretty much anything on the menu, won’t disappoint.

During a time when Miami Beach is bursting at the seams with craft cocktail bars and restaurants that are more about the cuisine than the fanfare of being in the Magic City, Employees Only comes to sexy South Florida at the perfect time. And with its timing, it has created a place that Miami locals can call home: a hidden bar-restaurant that’s as cozy as it is delicious. Can we ask for anything more?
