Bowling and Cocktails:THE SPARE ROOM, LOS ANGELES

Bowling? Phenomenal small bites? Fantastic cocktails? And hip-hop, you say? These four things can be found at The Spare Room, which sits on the mezzanine level of the iconic Roosevelt Hotel, on L.A.’s equally-iconic Hollywood Boulevard.

What was once an empty storage unit is now one of the best spots in Los Angeles to start or end your night out in Hollywood, CA. When imagining The Spare Room, owners Mark Rose and Med Abrous wanted to create a space that amplified, enhanced, and complimented all of the other venues inside the hotel, while still maintaining the old school, classic Hollywood vibe.

What makes the venue incredibly unique is the bowling alley located dead center in the middle of the room, where you and your group can reserve a lane, grab a punchbowl, throw on some bowling shoes and get it crackin'. Don't feel like bowling? They have a DJ Thursday through Saturday playing a mix of hip-hop, salsa, and top 40's. Don't feel like dancing either? Take a seat, grab a menu, order a few sliders, and watch other people bowl (sometimes, horribly) from the couches that sit right next to the lanes – it’s perfectly positioned for you to observe all the action.

So if you’re in L.A. and looking for somewhere “cool” to go, The Spare Room awaits! Show up, throw back a few drinks, boogie on down to the lanes, and show your friends how good you can bowl… or drink.

The Spare Room is open nightly, except Tuesdays, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Reserve a lane by calling or emailing the hotspot at 323-769-7296 or reservations@thespareroomhollywood.com.
